Because that would be disingenuous. Technically, Eve never has to attack. She can just sit there and just parry until she wins as long as she does all the other QTE's correctly. But parrying or not parrying attacks is one of the only parts of the games combat that is remotely "free," in that it's not always optimal to just parry, because Eve literally can't do that if you want to actually attack. The color coded attacks are designed to have one optimal solution to the problem you should always take no matter what state you are in prior.

As I said I don't like those kinds of threads and they have never been good in over a decade using 4chan. They always become reductionist circle jerks.
