Same. I remember playing at launch and everything about WoW was super underwhelming after coming from FFXI, DAOC and UO before it. I thought it was a pretty polished but generic MMO.
But the open world pvp man. Fucking awesome. Rolling up with my new college buddies (who I remain friends with to this day) and just ganking the shit out of Alliance as an all undead team, then fighting off their higher level response force? Pure kino.
