Honestly, mostly. DR definitely inherited the "only one ending; you either get what you get or you don't play at all" aspect from it (assuming Toby's not lying, anyways), and the plot revolves significantly around a broken family. Plus a significant portion of the game takes place in an imaginary world based around a character's headspace.
The specifics are all different though.
