Deltarune is already beating you over the head with a stick that your choices don't matter. Weird route is inherently a rebellion to that although I feel someone is helping us in pursuing it.

Not souless, I mean that the SOUL is a demon that is serving as a replacement of Kris' soul that has probably been taken away by Carol for Dess (I admit, I am kneedeep in these kind of theories now).

My schizofrenic thought is, we have Kris since Dess' disappearence and possible reincarnation as The Knight which is almost surely incomplete, wrestling with demon that the SOUL is, until our G-man hijacks the demon and places us, which in pacifist route would make Kris wonder why the SOUL has calmed down.
This is just preparation of mine for continuation of Weird Route if Noelle keeps speaking after we switch the vessel to her, since I suspect it of course won't be Noelle but the supressed demon part of SOUL getting some autonomy now.
