I really doubt this convinced any significant amount people of people into changing their mind about buying the newest Metroid. We see that consoles like the Xbox, Playstation, Playstation 2, and DS did great despite their lack of DRM and rampant piracy, as did the games sold for them. What Nintendo is doing is trying to squeeze blood from a stone and making an ass of itself while doing it.
