I had one that sort of had this, but the guy was basically experimented on until he became meek and terrified while also having prototype claws ehile the girl was a huge motherly priestess/nun character who basically pseudo adopts the guy
Essentially she was the caster/healer while the guy tanked everything and went full berserk when threatened, only to cling to the lady afterwards
