all i mean to say is that being a top-heavy console tends to disproportionally influence consumer perception because people can only play so many games (especially retro ones) — hence the n64 being more popular online, because everyone sees it and thinks "zelda and sm64 are better than ff7 and spyro, so n64 is better" without ever once considering the several other games on each console
