Nah shoot the nipples with electricity and then melee the back when it opens up.
Most people get stuck in that because there's no real hit feedback to tell you that the nipples are a weak spot (they're protruding and obvious but the model reacts all the same to getting hit there which is not at all), but once you figure out what you have to do it's insanely easy.
Once you've damaged it enough it even starts limping and you no longer have to use the map to avoid it from hitting you.
