Most people who walk into a courtroom are just stupid and filled with romantic "justice" nonsense enough to believe that the courtroom is actually a neutral ground where logic and reason exists to prove who is guilt and who is "innocent"
Except innocence doesn't exist in courtrooms which is one of the many, MANY trailheads that demonstrate that every court is actually just a kangaroo court. When was the last time someone was declared genuinely "innocent"? Never, because "Not guilty" is the best the court can do...
But personally i think it's just easier for the clerk to add in or erase the word "not" before the word "guilty" on the bureaucratic forms. (What? He's NOT guilty? Ok, easy fix! See, our state is always correct and totally not a shameful edifice that should be torn down and slaughtered!)
