Except Texas's interpretation of obscenity meant that works like Legend of the Overfiend "lacks serious literary, artistic, political, and scientific value." looking at the case of Castillo. Which is the problem, since anything can still be listed as obscene, I.E. a panty shot, because of how vaguely the law is written.
At this point we should expect Miller to be overturned and for Texan prosecutors to be very selective in how they enforce the law, I.E. actual lawfare.
But the vagueness of the law wasn't a bug, it was an intended feature.
