Nah, I played G/S recently and did Chikorita and I had trouble finding something for them to do and it wasn't just hostility towards grass types. Their movepool is kind of lackluster and the best I could come up with was Sunny Day+Solar Beam+Synthesis+Body Slam. Screens could work too. It's just too well rounded and has no specific niche except generally defensive.
