I played SMTV as my first SMT game. It comes with two canons. The original canon kinda sucks dick in most departments. vengeance canon fixes a lot of the original canons shortcomings, but you must play the original canon to truly appreciate vengeances canon. SMTV still sharts all over Persona just by its gameplay mechanics and party building progressions. Play on hard.
