If "Grandpa Kong" had still ended up being the same as Cranky with the whole "I'm the original DK", would people still take it as seriously with Rare's redesigned DK Jr. never getting renamed to Diddy? Or would they just assume that DK Jr. was a "mantle" the same as DK?
