Let me give you an example of what real HDR is like. Imagine a scene on your screen with a white sheet of paper on the left hand side and the Sun rising behind the horizon on the right hand side. On an SDR screen, both the sheet of paper and the Sun will be just displayed with white pixels. On a real HDR screen, the Sun's pixels will be white but also searingly bright. The individual pixels can have differences not just in color but also in brightness. It's difficult to appreciate this until you've seen it because it's so unlike traditional screens. But if you know what it's like, you'll immediately see that the Switch 2 screen is not HDR at all.
