The studio itself is on its last legs, Miyazaki absolutely despises video games and the only adaptations Ghibli does are novels. Outside of the original Ni No Kuni which was a pipe-dream scenario, they're too prestigious to adapt anything else, or take orders from another corporate company that's known for being insanely overprotective and controlling.
