Why do people from other countries think Americans have any kind of freedom or prestige in the first place? You guys do realize that this place is a complete shithole unless you’re making seven figures at minimum, right? The average person here barely lives better than some Brazilian in a crime ridden favela. The only American that lives a good life are those that have huge amounts of wealth, such that they can afford to live in a gated community and afford organic, high quality food.
Euros would be in shocked about the amount of despair, drug use, and sheer poverty if they stepped outside of the tourist areas.
