It depends on your race strategy/positioning.
Front position want more speed and stamina to get a bigger lead early on and keep it up for the whole race.
Back position want more power and speed to get a bigger boost once they begin their spurt from the back.
Despite what you may think, different position has different multipliers for each stats, so a back position with say 800 speed can beat a 1000 speed front position despite the larger stat gap .
