Because he never was respectful, he had experienced no growth as a person in Ending 2 so he was always the same guy who made fun of Fang's band in the beginning and thought her identity was bullshit. All he did was bite his tongue when it came up and let Fang control the story, and this pretense falls apart when his inhibitions get lowered.
