I have no idea how you can say that and still disagree because this is the exact point I'm making. The Olivia we're presented with has no real reason to do that. Either it doesn't forward the narrative or it does so in a way that breaks the character. What value would the scene lose if the only difference was that Olivia didn't stand up?

I think it's absolutely BECAUSE the wheelchair is only part of her that it shouldn't be emphasized this way. Have the scene play out without her standing up being the emotional highlight and it still has the same narrative meaning. If it needs to be flashy and an emotional moment then it can still be something completely different and more about a person than a disability. Her standing up is tied more to the wheelchair than to herself because without the chair the action would have no weight.
