The ONLY advantage of the original version is the original translation, which is just autistic nitpicking which is better, AND you can just download a mod for that translation anyways if you want it.
If you want easy mode, hard mode, optional wide screen, optional remastered graphics, optional new soundtrack, time attack, and boss attack, you want the paid version.
Again, you can play the paid version EXACTLY the same as the freeware, it just has more features and options and is a less janky and shitty PC port that doesn't force exclusive full-screen.
