I forget the specifics but there was a Yoshi interview where it was pretty much writing on the wall. I'm expecting Zeus given all the lightning.
Athena = wisdom = obvious
Hades = afterlife = obvious
Hermes = messenger = meteion
I don't recall any of the others. Zeus in addition to lightning would be rulership, kicking the shit out of ancient evils (Titans) so that doesn't quite fly, hur-dur sexing but that isn't applicable here.

I think 8.0 will be fine and I fucking hate DT so much, people'll be willing to give it a shot without necessarily a 1.0 style calamity. But a good hook will help.
