The game will be mid at launch, the development has lacked the direction and talent, and especially the commitment that made the best BF games great. People who can't play against vehicles have been heard, people who refuse to play on 90% of maps have been heard, people who care more about balance than overall gameplay have been heard, people who bought skins have been heard, and it means maps will be few and small, vehicles will be dumbed-down toys, gameplay will lack variety and no gameplay decisions, play style decisions- simply won't matter. And we'll have a ton of paid skins and paid unlocks obviously. Yes there's been extreme mismanagement of the franchise, it's why we can't have nice things, but a lot of this stuff is just the retards of the fanbase focusing on the most braindead little complaints and hammering away at them for years. Democracy is a joke.

To answer OP's question, it's too late, but I'd focus on the things that make battlefield unique, just big maps and vehicles and dynamic changing maps(stuff like vehicles being locked out of areas and then being 'let in' as the game goes on, stuff like breakthrough/Rush) and the polish and iterative building-on-what-works that this series SHOULD have at this point. I'm so fucking sick of 'most ambitious one yet guise' and 'new ways to play' when it's been this series for years that just can't seem to play at its strengths.
