lie. Working on licensed content for ANY franchise requires the writer/artist to work within guidelines, and all the guidelines Sega alledgedly has is mostly reasonable/predictable rulesets to preserve the BRAND, a good/competent writer can just write around those and still make them good, fucking every single TV show has been like that, Ian's been bitching and moaning about the mandates for WELL OVER A DECADE NOW, and his writing has only gotten worse overtime, why would you give someone like that the benefit of the doubt? Why would you still put faith in him? Why would you give a shit and take to heart ANYTHING a guy like this says? If writing for Sonic is so limiting why not just write your own comic? Oh wait, he tried that: No one cared because his storytelling is just Trite garbage. You can only hide behind the "it's for kids/it's the mandates/look these characters are gay" argument for so long. Don't forget you'll be an old man too and you're STILL out there on fucking /v/ defending a dime-a-dozen writer that only puts out subpar content.
