Depends on what kind of games you like and how much jank you can put up with.
The 8-bit ones can be good as long as you either play the Master System versions, or the Game Gear exclusives without Master System versions. Reason for this is the screen size, MS->GG ports make the gameplay worse because of it, but GG exclusives were developed with the GG's screen size in mind.
