I've never seen the Spiderverse movies, but in the comics Spiderverse is a story about a bunch of people that absorb the lifeforce of Spider-Totems (people with Spider powers). Let's just say Silk hid in a bunker for most of her childhood and teenage years because some guy didn't want THE PEOPLE to find her and kill her. Also she and Peter get really horny when near each other for some reason.
