This is an issue because everything is up to "Universal Standards" than allowing everyone to do what they wish. Sadly UE and Unity are huge cost cutting at the expense of individuality and variety of designs. Just look at how UI's look absolutely devoid of life and lack themes but look exactly the same, or how all UE5 games look the same due to the fact it's the same lighting, same quixelbridge look. Either way, this only makes sense for studios that lack money and resources. But for big AAA ones there is hardly much excuses.
I hate to say this, but unless we have an Open Source standard for a Game Engine that can do a variety of things like a Blender/Redot we are going to be in this mess for a decade.
