Sure you can give up your entire music playlist (spotify will delete your account if you don't give ID). Give up on many multiplayer games you play few friends you have, give up tutorials and guides on youtube and reddit, give up visiting most of small websites cause they simply can not afford to handle ID verification. But what will you do when more important services require it like shopping or anything job related? Will you just stop ordering stuff online? Will you quit your job and become homeless? Will you isolate yourself from literally everyone and eventually become truly alone?
Most people would rather be guinea pigs than die on the streets. Most people can not handle the future as a hermit in the woods with no human connection.
And don't give me that shit how it does not affect you or its just for pedos. If it affects your family and friends, it WILL affect you as well because of that. Anyone who thinks they will never be affected is a fool. We are all connected one way or another and if affects people you love and care it does affect you.
Also, I remember few months back an incident about graphene phone and Spanish police and how valuing privacy makes you a criminal in their eyes. You know what will be the next step? Making the denial of credentials illegal and further reach of requirements of ID.
What that means is that soon people who do care about privacy and are willing to give up many things for privacy are soon to be seen as criminals by government. Where there is a chance that in the future, people who refuse to give out IDs are prosecuted just for that. And it will be much easier to deduct who that is if majority of people are no longer anonymous.
Its easy to find a needle in the haystack if every straw of hay is indexed and catalogued and all you have to do now is look for anomalies.
