You're putting the cart before the horse.
Stardew is a majority of younger peoples first farming romance sim. It's a long lasting game, it's on every single console and on PC. It gets tons of updates.
For "older" players 25+, this could be their first taste of the genre, or they could be rediscovering it after Rune Factory, HM DS or a gamecube/wii version and find it to be better and more up to date than games that released when they were children.
You're essentially saying
