In fact, it's pretty clear that AP was one of the main inspirations for a lot of SV's mechanics in general, especially compared to the other HM games
AP has
>mixed seeds
>1 seed is 1 plant (unusual at the time for a HM game)
>fertilizer
>a similar item quality system to SV
>gemstones need to be appraised, they're in "geodes" by default
>the bells are literally proto-bundles
A bunch of little stuff, really. There's more that I'm forgetting
AP main failing is the horrendous loading times on the Wii and its atypical art style. The gameplay itself is rock solid
