That's just a nicer way to say the same thing, I'm not getting into arbitrarily separating ripping off and "paying homage". It's not like it will change the fact Madoka is blatantly derived by SM, so much that it can only really apply to the SM clones since the traditional magical girl story has fuck all to do with this.
