Correct, think all the disks got a variant with 100% inheritance or close to it, didn't see much use as you said even in comp and for a long time we had that inheritance that was mostly frontal skewed. Their final hail mary overhaul patch when the game was basically dead did add in a whole bunch of inheritance on the chains and all the nade launchers, though I'm not sure if it was 100% but the oldheads finally got their wish since I'm pretty sure it also added a fuckton of sideways inheritance, shame the servers weren't even capable of sustaining a single full pop one around the clock around that point anymore so I never got to play with it that much. Ghetto solutions and too little too late generally sums up what happened to T:A pretty well.
And yeah, I probably came in with one of the final waves for the closed alpha and I mostly stayed out of the purity stuff except for maybe mentioning that the hitscan weapons were awful, I'm sure a lot of it came from "new thing bad" sentiment from the vets.
