I think one of their solutions did in fact generate so much anger that they got rid of it in a timeframe like that. And yeah, they never managed to curtail s2s routes even if they did for a while try their best to at least make them able to be chased, but good luck with chasing when bounce routes would let even mediums do s2s or close to it on the smaller maps.
