hey /v/
im working at a small game studio, we're currently on a project which is a "live service" game. the boss wants our game to be "premium" ($20 probably) but also wants us to somehow have live service features, like a battlepass and in game shops. The thing is, it's all free.
what's the vibe here for gamers nowadays? how do you implement a free battlepass track and in game shop without it looking like a typical live service paid track and shop?
is it dumb to do this? is there some better method for these kinds of games today?
let me know what you think. thanks
