No, games often do have repetitive gameplay loops certainly, but single player games have ultimate goals and endings. Multiplayer games like Fortnite have short term goals like "victory royales" but what do you do after your "victory royale"? You try to get another and another endlessly until you grow tired of doing the same thing over and over. It's hard to compare this sort of game to anything but a hamster wheel.
