It IS a HDR1000 monitor, cheapest one on the market, but it doesn't look good even after faffing with it to get the best settings. It looks whitewashed on high brightness with HDR and local dimming turned on, as well as "bloomy" with lightbleed from the local dimming (not the worst I've seen, but not great)
Also has horrible coil whine which is the main reason I'm returning mine.
It's the AOC Q27G3XMN for anyone wondering. I do not recommend it.
