I only played this one once. I remember some of the boss fights being cool, an enjoyable Christmas theme, and a look at a cockier and less experienced Batman. But I also remember running easily and naturally into two soft-locks, the map being somehow restrictive and awkward to navigate, a horrible and long bridge you would always have to travel along and some fast travel points clearly lazily added to cirvumvent how bad the map is, and something about the combat feeling unresponsive despite presenting itself as identical to City. I might play this one again one day as I never even beat all the side missions, which did seem substantial. I don't think the game is bad, it's just not made very well.

This is my favorite one, a polarizing one I understand. It's more open than City and far removed from the original metroidvania feeling, now an open world game full of pockets of content. The side missions are basically modes to pick from as you play (militia towers are predator sections, militia outposts are combat sections, bombs are tank combat sections, etc). This trades in more unique side content however, which is a disppointment to many. People also hate the battank, though I enjoy the battank combat. All that aside, both the combat and the predator sections are advanced over City and way advanced over Asylum. The predator sections have so many toys to play with now that there is a 'Never Seen' bonus to strive for. Batman is at his coldest and most detatched here, jaded from his inability to be a perfect savior. Though the game takes place on Halloween, it's hardly noticeable, which is a shame. Being able to choose so much more freely who you mess with and when takes away the lighter theme park feel of the other ones and makes it always make sense why you see the different villains when you do. Seeing the jail cells gradually fill up with supervillains and all of their henchmen is a unique and satisfying visual show of game progress.
