I can't wait to see what they do with the SH1R because they're going to have to do something new with it, they can't just use the story that is there, they'll have to do some major rewrites
and in case you don't get it, in my mind that's a good thing. Remakes should only be faithful in spirit, not 1:1 recreations. Silent Hill 1 is always going to be Silent Hill 1, so the remake can do something new with that story.
