PoE2 suffers from trying to make the combat more interesting by focusing on build and burst mechanics.
But everyone who is playing PoE doesn't want things to be slow, so they hate it.
And eventually they find some way to get around the mechanics, leading to the game being even more brain-dead than PoE1.
