Yes. 120fps should be the new baseline for anything real time.
I was a bit disappointed getting a 1440p monitor. The upgrade in visual fidelity for gaming was noticeable but not nearly as big as people said. I would be fine playing vidya at 1080p still. I think it skews more in 1440p's favor for modern games where 1080p basically has to use TAA but on a 1440p you can use DLSS, the modern versions of which are far less blurry than TAA. The real upgrade otherwise is the amount of space you have on your desktop. It's much nicer doing anything else.
