FFXII's gameplay is so bad, they needed to put in the "zodiac job system" to replace the license board. But how about instead of doing that, they should have started with the 6 races at the beginning and let the players decide what to make them?

It doesn't even matter if Balthier was a hume or Gria. It doesn't change the story anyways since all the characters are paper thin garbage.
