eyes are super easy to evolve first you get a photosensitive cell that has some benefit, then you get more of them and if they're in a carved out ball shape like the backside of your eye the animal can detect the direction of light which has more survival benefits. then you get a lens to complete the ball. eyes have evolved independently hundreds if not thousands of times on earth.
