It sold well and had a decent award haul. The issue is that Atlus fans are mostly troons and pedophiles who care more about obsessing over their waifus than actual gameplay, which means that their main focus is on the romances. Since there aren't any, they don't really have a reason to discuss the game or push their ships when they can much more easily revert back to talking about Persona 5 for the millionth time.
