https://www.nexusmods.com/silenthill2/mods/80 you should use this too. the remake lacks visual noise which hampers the effectiveness of the darkness. shapes emerging cloaked in black and visual noise start to look like anything you can imagine, it's very creepy. the color/saturation options can be tweaked to taste but i also like that aspect of it.
