Yeah, I remember the controversy. I didn't think to take a screenshot of it but the very first time you see a Torii gate when outside of the main story there's a pop up of what it says at the bottom of this page here. They also dialed back on what you can do in actual temples and shrines, I don't think anything even has physics in them last I recall, and you aren't allowed to stand on certain things in it.

The entire thing with Junjiro is meant to bury the hatchet, and then the Igan ash drink is meant to fully put it past them. Naoe is still somewhat cautious around him and so are the people at the Hideout, but I think they handled it alright. Even in the side content they're both pissed off at various moments and they both have to reel themselves in.

Nah, they should have followed the Memories story but with him as a person who hands Taka information mixed with Naoe being introduced into the story. Yasuke should have been a major side character that the Assassins dropped into Nobunaga's base to investigate what he's doing and what the Templars know about the Sword of Eden which he then passes onto Taka or Naoe. They could have easily used him in a bigger role while still being respectful of the setting instead of slamming drunk into the wall by making him a playable character. The reason he wouldn't be written about in history past a footnote is because he pretends not to know Japanese with the servants and Nobunaga while eavesdropping on them so they never suspect him or find him any sort of interest outside of what he historically was.
