I mean, that snippet more or less describes the game. The weakest element of the game is the lack of visual variety due to taking place in just Lumiose on top of the unpolished textures and models all over the place in general. But the core gameplay experience and writing are still enjoyable. I understand that the game is going to draw ire because Pokemon is the most profitable media franchise in the world, so you'd think this would equate to more effort in the visuals department, but people are acting like this aspect alone makes the entire game unworthy of your time. And that's just not the case. If you can get past the outdated and drab visuals, there's something fun here. Is it perfect? No. Is it good? Yes, it definitely is. It is a good game held back by The Pokemon Company's/Nintendo's refusal to levy more finances into Game Freak because they know people will buy the games regardless of how much they spend making them. It's extremely greedy and obviously very smart business on their end for having the optics to acknowledge that people WILL still buy Pokemon, no matter what.
