Even this basic shot is off. Like film 101 is rule of thirds and knowing how to use it. Squeezing the character into one third of the frame in a pose that is opposite to the third they occupy creates a basic visual sense that something is "off" which is exacerbated by the dialogue asking you if she looks like something familiar. You don't need to be Steven Spielberg to understand this. In the remake they just plop her in the middle acting like an NPC and call it a day
