Turns out, it really was the entire first chapter.
Finished it just under 7 hours in game save time.
Pacing kind of slow, but I think it's important for the mood. Has to show the build up of anxiety both in the protag and the reader along with internal monologue and convictions.
As much as I could do without simple fetch quests during the non-combat periods they serve to slowly feed more backstory and character that I found myself looking forward to.
Initially kind of hated the combat but as your energy pool increases, you get multiple weapon types, and multi enemy encounters can get very tactical while feeling tight when you play (hit the qtes) well.
Might be some visual delay and or input issues though, I swear to fuck I didn't miss press as many things as the game though I did.
2d dungeon with some shortcuts and interconnections felt satisfiyng to explore. I can only see the level design improving with each chapter.
Story has me hooked, I have a lot of theories of how this is going to go, and all of them lead towards suffering.
