For any morons that are also tech iliterates let me give you the simplest of guides for dishing windows out and switching to linux.
For starters forget all the memes

Stick to mint regardless
Why? It's the simplest to learn of them all, it's not the best, it's the most stable, if you are a moron then the first step is learning how not to be one, stability is better than performance
Step 3 get rufus(or an alternative) and a mint iso (or an alternative if you hate yourself) (yt tutorial if you are retarded enough)
Step 4 f2 to go in bios or f12 if you're on pc
Step 5: pick the usb you just made with rufus on the boot menu
Step 6: let the usb do it's charm upon restart
Step 7: do all the steps, mint will hand hold you (10 min set up)
Done. That's it.
After that all you have to do is learn a bit about linux, commands and all that, otherwise, you can do it all through guis(translated to "moron", aka a visual interface, there is a tutorial for anything and everything)
Optional: do not encrypt your os with luk if you're retarded
ALLWAYS, do a time stamp or timeshift (mint will show you how)
DO NOT install 3rd party or flatpak software until you get familiar with linux.
If drivers gpu drivers fail, you have 2 options. One that is easy, one that is slightly harder but even a monkey can do it.
1 disable safeboot
Or
2 look on a tutorial on how to sign them with a custom pgp file.
Woila you just got linux mint, now you install steam (from the repository aka the app manager not from the internet) and you play around for a bit.
If not, watch a wine tutorial.
Congratulations, now stop acting like a bunch of pussies and learn how to use your own shit without handholding.
Linux CAN run most things as good as windows it WON'T run them as good as windows because you are bellow average in 80% of situations.
All I mentioned can be done in an hour if you're slow, a few more if mentally challanged.
