Hate to burst anyones bubble or kill the hype but I'll tell you exactly what's going to happen. The game will launch, it'll be a 7/10, completely mid, just ok. Nothing really new or innovative, it will prod at the nostalgia feels a bit, but it won't ever feel like it was. It'll be fine but forgettable and a month after it launches no one will be talking about it anymore. And life will go on. That's just how it goes.
