ER pvp is just shit, if they actually put effort into it, it would be more enjoyable on both sides. The scaling sucks, the damage is overtuned, the lack of covenants means sweatier players invade everywhere, hosting is dogshit because your hosted world breaks constantly and so on. DS3 had a really good balance with it having 2 pvp hotspots and more casual invasions around the rest of the map.
